Kelly Bensimon

Kelly Bensimon stars on Bravo's hit television, reality show The Real Housewives of New York City. She is also known for being an author, model, jewelry designer, and former editor of Elle Accesories.

Kelly was raised in Rockford, Illinois. She began modelling at the age of 15, which is how she met her ex-husband, Gilles Bensimon. Together, the couple had two daughters.

After leaving Trinity College, in Connecticut, Kelly continued her education at Columbia University where she majored in English. Her writing career includes being the fouding editor of Elle Accesories, writing several books, and writing a column for Page Six.

Kelly has had many run ins with the law. She was arrested in March 2009 and charged with assault after supposedly beating her former boyfriend, Nick Stefanov. Kelly also was involved in a lawsuit against her for allegedly stealing an owl jewelry design from designer Celeste Greenberg in April 2009.
