Born in Peru, raised in McLean, then rowed for Team USA in Beijing and London. He was also the model for Ralph Lauren\'s controversial \"Made in China\" team uniforms, alongside Ryan Lochte, Bryan Clay and Heather Mitt.
Today, he and his brother run the Peruvian Brothers Food Truck. He also coaches Georgetown University\'s rowing team.
